Ryan Roikola is a bassoonist from Montvale, New Jersey and has been playing the bassoon for the last 10+ years in his musical career. He has studied with Suzanne Pattison at Lynchburg College, Saxton Rose at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and Dr. Michael Harley at the University of South Carolina. Ryan has performed throughout the country and beyond, from the great state of New Jersey all the way to down to Brazil, to even at such revered venues as Carnegie Hall in New York City. Aside from performing, Ryan is also an avid music educator who helps students of all ages learn how to play the bassoon as well as delve into more core subjects of music such as music theory, ear training, and musicality. His students have gone on to first chair placings in County, Region, and All-State band auditions and he loves seeing their self-confidence, performance, and music appreciation grow through private lessons.
