Why choose MusicologyU?

Music lessons are a significant investment in money and time. When looking at your music education, you should ask: Am I spending my money and time wisely? How qualified is the instructor? What will I be learning?  With Musicology U, you will be training with only top-level music educators that have impressive resumes of advanced schooling and significant professional performance experience. Our instructors include university professors, recording artists, and some of the most impressive names in their respective fields. Less than 3% of those who apply to work with Musicology U are accepted for employment.

Who are lessons
geared towards?

The platform was created for any students who are serious about learning. Whether you are a hobbyist looking for the best training, a student preparing for a college audition, or a professional looking to develop your skills further, we have the right instructor for you. With Musicology U, you will be trained live by actual skilled professionals with years of high-level experience at a reasonable price.

What are the benefits
of remote lessons through MusicologyU?

With our remote lesson platform, you can have a college professor teach you, live from the comfort of your own home. Now you don’t have to travel miles to find the perfect instructor to bring you to that next level; we bring that teacher to you. Through our innovative platform, instructors can instantly share files with you through your screen. You can even record and archive your instruction.

What equipment do I need to take remote lessons, and how do I connect?

All you need is an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Our platform works with nearly every device. Before your first lesson, we will set up a time to run a connection test with you with one of our highly trained staff members. The process generally takes less than two minutes.

Am I obligated to any long term commitments?

There are no long term commitments. Take as many or as few lessons as you want. Gear your training towards your goals, needs, and budget. Be aware, however, that music education is a long term journey that requires focused instruction and practice.

Lesson Policies

All lessons and services must be prepaid.

If you have a connection issue you must send an email to within the first 15 minutes of your scheduled lesson for a rescheduled makeup class. We recommend you set up a connection test before your first lesson.

Canceled lessons that are not deemed emergencies must be canceled no later than 6 hrs before your scheduled lesson. Lessons with 6 hrs notice can be rescheduled (not refunded). Rescheduled due to emergencies will be evaluated by the teacher and Musicology U on a case by case basis.

If you simply don’t enter your lesson at your confirmed scheduled appointment time then you will forfeit your lessons and your payment.
